Kampar is a long river that fell from the Bukit Barisan mountains that form of Sumatra island along the west coast. The river passes the Riau province, finally empties into the Strait of Malacca, on the east coast of Sumatra. The river itself split into two major branches known as the Kampar Kanan (right branch Kampar) and Kampar Kiri (left branch).

The river's flow is then gathered in Violates in Pelalawan in the Kampar estuary. Here joined by many other rivers that lead out to the mouth of the Kampar river channel width. In each pair, the high waves of the sea rolling in and meet downstream from Kampar, where two opposites meet the energy that keeps the surf bono case. Surfing on the beach is common, but surfing on the Kampar River just incredible. That was expressed by many surfers who have tried Ombak Bono. In addition to the estuarine crocodile is also a lot of pythons and other snakes are not venomous found here.

Bono waves by surfers internationally known as The 7 Ghost, because Bono has 7 layers layered waves. When I boarded the rubber boat and crashing surf bono, very clearly I saw the seventh wave. Yes, just look at but not had time to take pictures. The photos I took just now in Bono was wearing a rubber speedboat, in addition to great photo speedboat was very adrenaline. The reason, I was riding a rubber boat was special for surfers who fell and was driven to be lowered again to the front and a multi layered waves crashing it. Bono waves only once and not several times as the sea. Surfers can enjoy the waves for 40 minutes more. The Bono usually occurs during the rainy season where the water flow is large enough that the Kampar River in November and December. Indeed, river surfing different than surfing in the ocean because the waves were a little different character.
